SkypeIt! is the first extension that allow you to call your contacts from Thunderbird and Mozilla Mail and both Windows and Linux!

Its use is very simple. When a contact is selected in the address book with the right mouse button, the SkypeIt! menu shows all the phone numbers you can dial. If the contact owns Skype, you'll be abble to call him for free by clicking on "Skype call" if you have entered its skype id in its Nickname info. (default). Chatting and sending a file to contact is also possible.

If an error message appear, you need to go in Option/Extension (thunderbird) or Edition/Preferences (mozilla). Enter the corrects paths and specify if you're on Windows or Linux. Don't forget the last \ (windows) or / (linux) !
If nothing happens for whatever action or if Skype diplay an error message, verify the format options too.

For Thunderbird :

Please follow this 2 steps installation :

1.When you'll click  here to download the file, remove the ".zip" at the end of the file's name before validating. The name should be tb_skypeit.xpi Of course you can always rename it after it has been downloaded.

2.Start Thunderbird, go in Option/Extension, click "Install" and pick up the file tb_skypeit.xpi you just downloaded. Restart Thunderbird and you should be abble to use your new extension : )

Rm: for the Linux version, if the extension does'nt show up, restart the installation with admin (su) rights.

For Mozilla Mail :

Caution : install the jslibs before my extension !

You'll need to install the jslib librairies. You'll find them here. (jslib_current.xpi)

If you can't access your address book anymore after installing Skype It! it's often because you don't have correctly installed the jslibs!

For the Mozilla version, right click here and choose to save the file on disk.
Rename the file extension from jar to xpi (or made it before downloading)
Start Mozilla, go to File/Open and locate the new downloaded mm_skypeit.xpi file. Restart Mozilla and you should be abble to use the extension.

Rm: for the Linux version, mozilla need to be started with admin (su) rights. If you install it without admin rights, the setup will indicate "success" but the necessary files won't be installed.
